New in CodeGrade: Community Library

In 30 seconds...

With the CodeGrade Community Library you can easily import fully automatically graded coding assignments into your own coding course. This feature is available now in CodeGrade.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the CodeGrade Community Library. At CodeGrade, we are all about learning, collaboration, and improving the coding education experience, and the Community Library is a testament to that.

Select a category and then select an assignment in the Community Library

We know how time-consuming coming up, creating and setting up coding assignments from start to finish can be. The Community Library is a game-changer that will allow you to get your course filled up with engaging content in seconds by leveraging the power of the community. The Community Library also allows you to give back to the community and help out your fellow teachers by sharing your assignments.

The best part, we are already launching with some amazing content that we’ve developed with some fantastic partners. Here’s what you can expect:

  • An Introduction to Python course with 35+ fully auto-graded assignments.
  • 9 “Introduction to Java” assignments
  • A collection of example autograded assignment from a wide spectrum of programming languages, including Java, Python, C, C++, C#, Jupyter, JavaScript, MySQL, SQLite, and R.
  • An “Introduction to C++” course from the University of South Wales, packing 40 fully auto-graded assignments (coming soon)
  • Over 60 Middle School programming assignments in Python from Harvard-Westlake School (coming soon)
  • 5 JavaScript/Web Development assignments from HZ University of Applied Sciences (coming soon)
Want to start using the Community Library too? Book a meeting with us and explore the community library.

The best thing: all of these assignments are created with an AutoTest V2 configuration.

So, how does it work?

Simply go to the Assignment Settings, scroll to the “Danger Zone” at the bottom of the general settings and the Community Library is available there. You can easily browse and filter on assignments, preview them, and then import them into your assignment.

Similarly, we’ll soon showcase a “Publish” button as well, allowing you to share your assignments. If you already want to share some of your assignments, reach out to us at support@codegrade.com and we can add them for you.

With the Community Library, we can bring educators together, share high-quality assignments, and inspire each other. We can’t wait for you to start exploring, sharing, and importing. Let us know what you think!

Happy teaching!
